Traveling to the UK in 2025? You may need a UK eTA, the new electronic travel authorization. From April 2nd, 2025, travelers from visa-exempt countries must apply before boarding. The process is all online. Fill the form, upload your passport and photo, and pay the fee. An approved eTA is valid for two years and lets you visit multiple times. Each stay can be up to six months. You can use it for tourism, business visits, family trips, short study, or limited creative work. But it's not a work visa. You can't use it for long-term jobs or study. Applying is simple. Go to the UK eTA application form. Enter your details and upload documents. Pay the fee. Get your approval by email. It's linked to your passport. You can track your application anytime with your passport and order ID. Remember, an eTA doesn't guarantee entry. Border officers decide, so carry your bookings and travel proof. Apply early, travel smart, and enjoy your UK trip.
