How to Apply for a UK ETA

Step-by-Step Application Process for UK eTA

Before you begin, confirm that your passport is from a country eligible for the UK eTA. If you are eligible, follow the steps below to complete your application.

Step 1: Register on the UK eTA Portal

Go to the UK eTA portal and select "Apply UK eTA." Enter your full name, valid email address, contact number, nationality, and planned arrival date in the United Kingdom.

Complete the captcha verification, then click "Register" to open the main application form.

Step 2: Fill in the UK eTA Application Form

You will be taken to the UK eTA application form. Enter your personal and travel details:

• Nationality
• Full name (as per passport)
• Date of birth
• Passport number
• Passport expiry date
• Home address in your country of residence

You will also be asked whether you are currently employed (including self-employment).

• If No, continue with the application.
• If Yes, provide your employment details before proceeding.

Step 3: Add Applicants and Select a Processing Option

Click "Add Applicant" to include additional travellers.

Select your preferred processing speed - Normal, Rush, or Super Rush - then continue to the next step.

Step 4: Review Your Details

Click "Submit & Preview" to see your full application. Go through all displayed information carefully and correct any errors.

When everything is accurate, click "Confirm & Submit" to proceed.

Step 5: Upload Your Documents

Upload clear, valid copies of all documents required for the UK eTA. Confirm that every file is legible and meets the specified requirements before submitting.

Step 6: Pay the UK eTA Fee

You will be directed to the payment page, where a full breakdown of the UK eTA fee is displayed. Select a payment option from those listed on the portal and complete the payment.

Note: Your application will not be processed until payment is successfully completed.

Step 7: Receive Your Approved UK eTA

Once payment is confirmed, your application enters processing. After approval, your UK eTA is sent to the email address used during registration.

Download the approved eTA and print a copy to carry when travelling to the United Kingdom.

Continue a Partially Filled UK eTA Application

To resume an incomplete UK eTA application, enter your temporary order ID and complete the required security verification. Click "Complete Partially Filled" to return to your saved form and pick up from where you stopped.
