Big news for travellers: Uganda Airlines is launching direct flights between Entebbe International and London Gatwick, starting 18 May 2025. This will be Uganda Airlines’ first European destination—and the first non-stop Uganda-UK link in nearly ten years. They’ll be using the modern Airbus A330-800neo, with a three-class layout: 20 lie-flat Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy, 210 Economy class seats. Flights will run four times a week—on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Most departures will be overnight (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) so you arrive fresh in the morning; the Sunday flight departs during daylight. It’s more than just flights—this route is expected to boost trade, tourism, and economic connections between Uganda and the UK. Ugandan exports like coffee, tea, flowers and fresh produce will benefit from quicker delivery and lower costs. And British travellers will have easier access to Uganda’s natural attractions: gorillas, wildlife, and the source of the Nile. Tickets are now open via the Uganda Airlines website, mobile app, agents, or ticket offices in Uganda and in the UK. So whether for business, family, or adventure—you’ve got a fresh, direct route from Entebbe to London starting May 18, 2025.
