Hello, I am hoping that you can assist me please. I am a South African citizen and hold dual nationality through descent from my Dutch father. I have been a holder of a Netherlands passport since Nov 1993. My current South African passport has expired and as part of my application to renew, they require proof of descent for my Netherlands dual passport. I have lost my birth certificate. It takes a YEAR through the South African Embassy to get one. VFS, who issue the South African Passport, advised me that it would be acceptable if I can get a letter from the Netherlands Consulate stating that I have descent through my father. Would it be possible to book an appointment for this urgently please ? Please can you advise what documents I would need to bring.
