UK ETA Cost

The UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) carries a fee that varies by processing speed. This page covers the full cost structure - standard government charge, service fee, and optional processing upgrades - so you know exactly what to expect before you apply.

UK eTA Processing Times

Three processing speeds are available. Choose the one that fits your travel timeline.

  • Normal Processing – Time: 1 - 2 Days | Fee: No Additional Charge
  • Rush Processing – Time: 6 - 12 Hours | Fee: USD 39
  • Super Rush Processing – Time: 1 Hour | Fee: USD 59

UK eTA Fee Breakdown

Your total UK eTA fee has three components:

Total Fee = eTA Cost + Service Fee + Rush Processing Fee (if selected)

  1. eTA Cost – This is the fixed fee set by UK immigration authorities for reviewing and issuing your eTA. The amount is determined by the UK government and applies to all applicants.
  2. Service Fee – This covers the handling of your application from submission through to approval. It funds the review, support, and administrative work carried out on your behalf.
  3. Rush Processing Fee (Optional) – This applies only if you choose Rush or Super Rush processing at the time of application. Normal processing carries no additional processing fee.

What the Service Fee Covers

Your service fee funds direct support across every stage of your application.

  1. Step-by-step guidance while completing the form
  2. A thorough review of your details before submission to reduce the risk of errors
  3. Notification of any requirement changes that occur during processing
  4. Assistance with queries at any point in the application

Payment Methods

The following payment methods are accepted for the UK eTA fee.

  1. Credit or Debit Card – Accepted from most major issuers. Before paying, confirm that your card has international transactions enabled.
  2. Cryptocurrency – Bitcoin and other digital currencies are accepted. This method suits applicants who prefer to pay outside the traditional banking system.
  3. PayPal – Available as a payment option, subject to your nationality and regional PayPal availability.

Currency note: The eTA fee is charged in USD. Your bank may apply currency conversion charges separately. These are outside our control and are not included in the fee shown at checkout.

Important Fee and Application Conditions

Read these points before you submit.

  • Fees are non-refundable. Once your application is submitted and processed, the fee cannot be returned regardless of the outcome.
  • Bank charges may apply. Currency conversion or international transaction fees from your bank are separate from the eTA fee.
  • Accurate information is required. Incorrect or incomplete details will delay processing and may result in rejection.
  • Additional documents may be requested. You could be asked to supply further supporting materials during review.
  • Overstaying carries consequences. Remaining in the UK beyond your permitted stay may lead to fines or restrictions on future travel.

UK eTA Validity

Understanding what you receive for the fee helps set clear expectations.

Once approved, a UK eTA is typically linked to your passport and valid for multiple entries. The permitted length of each stay and the overall validity period depend on your nationality and the conditions set by UK Border Force at the time of your application.
